It's been nearly a year since my last blog post - amazing how time flies and you lose track of some of the things you used to keep up with.
I was pregnant and applying for a masters degree program at Eastern Michigan University in my last post, so I will update you from there.
I sent in my application to EMU on a wing and a prayer, 2 months after the application deadline was up. Guess what? I got accepted! I applied for the Masters degree program for TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and got accepted just in time to start school that fall semester. So, starting in August, I became pretty busy with school and the kids, not to mention my new pregnancy - I was about 5 months pregnant when school started.
The baby was born January 17th at home with an independent midwife. His name is Noah Elias, and is such a sweet and pleasant baby. He is currently 9 weeks old.
My children are in child care - I don't completely like it, but have to deal with the situation day by day - and I am not in school very long. I have nearly all evening classes and I am going full-time. God willing, I graduate this December.
I have a lot of updating to do on this website! lol I keep saying "I have three kids" and that's no longer true. His father and my 8 year old daughter's father are the same guy - unfortunately, things didn't work out romantically and we're no longer together, but I will be working on some other things and hopefully God will allow the rest to fall into place.
I have some opinions to offer on the passing of Treyvvon Martin, single parenthood and some other thoughts, and I am looking forward to reconnecting! :)

63% soy protein does a lot for taste apparently when you convert human extrament into "meat". The red color is created with food coloring.

"Working late into Friday night, congressional and White House negotiators finally agreed on a plan to pay for government operations through the end of September while trimming $38.5 billion in spending." ON THE BUDGET!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/ap_on_re_us/us_spending_showdown
The "budget" is an imaginary number - ask any accountant! - your budget is a number that you MAKE UP that has nothing to do with your actual gross or net. So what difference does it make to cut $38 billion in spending from a number that doesn't reflect any real difference in the actual amounts being spent or collected? What does the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report say about their actual gross and net and how does that relate to any real spending? How does that relate to what is really being purchased? Where does the money REALLY come from? There is no shortage of money, and any "government shut down" is strictly for the same purposes that things were shut down in 1933 - to force the people into a position of submission so that they would be forced to seek a solution from the same tyrants that created the problem. >:(
GRRRR....!!!!

In the same breath that says that these "sovereign citizens" (whatever that is) are fraudulently/illegally taking over foreclosed homes, the FBI is saying that there was no illegal act that took place, so the "sovereign citizens" cannot be arrested as "no threats were made."
Adverse Possession without Color of Title is a right that anyone has to take over an abandoned home and live there legally. All the couple would need to do is pay the property taxes and pay for the upkeep of the home (such as utilities and lawn maintenance) which is what would be done if the home was occupied in a non-adverse way. Notice that the article does not say anything about Adverse Possesion or squatters rights, legal processes of occupying properties that have been abandoned, but instead moves to slander the couple, making it seem as if they are acting fraudulently.
The people who occupied this property did make a mistake in choosing a bank owned home for Adverse Possession. They should not seek out bank owned properties as they can reset the time needed for Adverse Possession quickly, reducing the amount of time that this law needs to take affect.
The article also states (in a passing sort of mention) that the couple had went to court to argue the validity of their claim on the property, so they were not directly evicted. This is a natural process in Adverse Possession, for the owner to try to get the home back. The home did not seem to be abandoned, which probably worked against the couple in a major way. The couple did not move into the home and then were immediately thrown out - notice how the word "evicted" was used and not "thrown out". This is a very important thing to note.
Read the article for yourself. :)
